Halloween poem II

I see the stars on a moonless night
I taste the crispness of fall
I hear the voices of children
Yelling "Trick-or-treat!"
A bonfire smokes the air, lending its scent.
Marshmallows --
Icky, sticky, gooey, toasted delight. . . .
A scream pierces the air
In the dark on Halloween night
